Venture capital firm Helion Venture Partners, which was one of the first investors in MakeMyTrip, has led a funding round . 5.5 crore in enterprise softof ` ware maker Whatfix.US-based venture capital firm Powerhouse Ventures, startup accelerator GSF and few Silicon Valley-based angel investors also participated in the round.
Founded by former Huawei employees Khadim Batti and Vara Kumar in April 2013, Whatfix allows businesses create interactive help guides on websites. The Bengalurubased startup will use the funds to hire talent, strengthen technology and expand in markets like the US, Canada, Europe and Australia.
“We are trying to disrupt the traditional way of documenting, delivering and consumption of product help and trainings,“ said Batti, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Information Technology in Bengaluru.
Alok Goyal, partner at Helion Advisors, discovered Whatfix as a high potential startup when he met its team last April at InTech50 event where Indian startups made pitches to large global firms to sell their innovations.
